Java Platform, Micro Edition (Java ME) is a collection of technologies and specifications to create a platform that fits the requirements for mobile devices such as consumer products, embedded devices, and advanced mobile devices. It is a collection of technologies and specifications that can be combined to create a complete Java runtime environment specifically to fit the requirements of a particular device or market. How has Java ME changed the mobile development? What is going to happen next? We will discuss in more detail during this talking.&lt;br /&gt;

Roger Brinkley is the Community Leader for the Mobile &amp;amp; Embedded Community at Sun Microsystems. He is responsible for community development related to Java ME technologies. He is part of the Java Community team in the Client Software Group, a member of Sun's Open Source Group, the Java.Net Management Board, and serves as a Track Lead for the JavaOne Program Committee.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Roger has more than 30 years of industry experience with over 14 years at Sun. He is a frequent speaker at technical conferences around the world and cohosts the weekly Java Mobility Podcast with Terrence Barr.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Prior to becoming the Mobile &amp;amp; Embedded Community Leader he was the Principle Engineer for JSR 97 JavaHelp 2.0 Specification and was the community leader for both the JDK and JavaDesktop communities. He has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Quantitative Analysis and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
